Description:

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Experience in a Head Of / Director role with a proven track record of delivering significant revenue growth.
  • Strong commercial acumen with P&L and budget management experience.
  • Knowledge and first-hand experience of Shopify+. Shopify ePOS experience would also be a bonus.
  • Experience with website analytics and behaviour heatmap tools such as GA4, Mouse flow, Hotjar etc.
  • Highly numerate and analytical with a systematic approach to testing.
  • Strong communication and presenting skills - both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organisational skills including planning, prioritising, and multi-tasking.
  • The highest level of attention to detail, ensuring work is completed accurately and deadlines are met efficiently.
  • Able to lead and inspire a team with passion, energy and confidence.
  • An interest in the luxury clothing and ecommerce markets.Excellent team player, calm under pressure, sociable with sound interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced, confident and inspiring Head of Ecommerce to join Derek Rose’s exciting and expanding team based in Baker Street, London.
In your role as Head of Ecommerce, you will report to the CEO and work closely with all areas of the business. You will own all aspects of the Ecommerce function working closely with other teams, especially Performance Marketing and Data/Analytics. You’ve done this before, a few times, and have learnt lots of the lessons.
Over the last three years Derek Rose has consistently grown in terms of headcount, turnover and profitability. As a market leader in clothing designed to help people make the most of their free time, we have found ourselves in a great position for continued growth in the foreseeable future. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Full P&L responsibility including forecasting across digital income and expenditure channels.
  • Lead and develop online sales for all markets across multiple channels, overseeing the full strategic e-commerce plan.
  • Oversee a team of 14 (4 direct reports) across Trading, Customer Service and Digital Marketing.
  • Build a robust plan that is easily understood by your team, that provides stretch and ambition. These plans should include KPI’s across the relevant areas (CAC, ROAS, LTV etc.)
  • Ensure your team are working to be the best team possible, taking in external influences and converting them to success.
  • Be able to prepare, analyse and share detailed reporting to all levels. You will be a pro at talking to a board – but also sharing with front line teams the difference they are making.
  • You will understand and be able to share the impact your team have on the customer. Learning from mistakes and remedying any that occur with your peers and their team.
  • You will ensure you have the right people around you – being a natural coach and engaging leader to more junior members of the team.
  • Harness the success we have had within our brilliant customer service team, always aiming to be the best.
  • You will make sure all our customers’ data is well managed, and they get the right communications. This includes VIPs and sale information.
  • Control the life cycle of all direct customer communication – from designing the calendar with the team to ensuring all work is accurate and consistent with the brand.
  • Liaise with the Merchandising and Analytics team on seasonal buys and the flow of product. Analyse seasonal sell through reports and take action to ensure products are optimised accordingly.
  • Work with the Retail team on the set-up, running and maintenance of the omnichannel ePOS system.
  • Working with brand stakeholders, sign-off creative output used online and in direct mail, email marketing and packaging.
  • Oversee the marketing calendar creation and review regular updates.
  • Work on the design, implementation and analysis of A/B and multivariate testing, alongside onsite personalisation.
