Description:
Responsibilities:
The Head of Employee Relations & Policy is responsible for leading a team in the management of formal casework and informal processes to ensure successful and timely resolution. They will also play a lead role in collective trade union relations in both formal negotiations and consultation fora as well as in maintaining productive informal communications channels with our recognised trade unions and their officers. The role holder will also lead a small team in the development, review and prioritisation of employment policy aligned to our strategic goals.
The successful candidate will have the expertise to support a culture where the University’s treatment of employees is fair, respectful, and in accordance with our policies and values. Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director of People and working closely with our Strategic People Partners and Head of Colleague Engagement, you will lead the development of ER Strategy, to enable the University to deliver a proactive service, providing managers and staff with the tools and support to achieve a positive employee relations environment.
