We are looking for a Head of Engineering in the Customer Domain who will help create a thriving workplace where we prioritize our people, foster accountability, encourage collaboration and drive innovation to achieve the extraordinary. You will be leading cross-functional teams that work to bring the best value to our customers.
In this role, reporting to the VP of Engineering, you’ll lead 4 teams owning the Customer Domain, which is responsible for connecting customers with beauty service providers. These teams work on helping customers find the right supplier and service, inspiring them to explore new categories, and enabling effortless booking and appointment management, all of which contribute to shaping the future of our platform. Your teams in the long term will be focused on building demand for bookings, even when customers enter the application without a predefined service in mind, thereby shaping their needs and allowing you to make a significant impact on one of the world’s largest booking platforms.

OUR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Deep understanding of multiple programming languages.
  • Ability to design, evaluate, and optimize complex systems and technology architectures.
  • Expert knowledge of various agile methodologies with the ability to mentor others and adapt methodologies to enhance team performance.
  • Strong capability in using data to make informed strategic decisions and coaching teams in better metrics analysis.
  • Deep understanding of DevOps practices and ability to guide teams in building and reinforcing DevOps capabilities.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on strategic planning, vision setting, and high-level multi-team management.
  • Capability in setting visionary goals and strategic priorities, with the ability to ensure optimal utilization of team resources.
  • Excellent communication skills for various audiences with the ability to influence and drive decisions.
  • Ability to maintain a strong relationship with Heads of Product in aligning strategies and high-level objectives.
  • Ability to lead through change and inspire teams to embrace new technologies or methodologies.
  • Expertise in managing multiple team’s performance, including coaching and developing other leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the delivery of multiple teams’ initiatives while guaranteeing the consistent delivery of high-quality software, meeting both technical standards and customer expectations.
  • Provide technical expertise, strategy and direction to multiple teams, contributing to architectural decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence within the engineering department, keeping pace with the industry’s evolution and technological advancements.
  • Collaborate with Product Heads and relevant stakeholders to provide teams with strategic direction for business and technical goals.
  • Maintain clear and strategic communication across all levels of the product and engineering organization to ensure alignment with business goals and transparency in engineering operations.
  • Oversee the recruitment and retention of individual contributors and managers, and actively manage individual growth and performance through constructive evaluations and personal development plans.
