Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a visionary Head of Engineering to lead our Product and Partnerships tribe, providing strategic direction and operational efficiency. You’ll work closely with Technical Leads, Engineers, Product Owners, Technical Delivery Specialists and UX / Service Designers to align technical initiatives to our broader business goals. Your leadership will help shape our long-term strategy, ensuring that we have the right talent, processes and culture to succeed.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Guiding multiple squads within a tribe, ensuring that our tech stack and solutions are lean, agile, future ready and scalable.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues across cinch and our wider group, Constellation. This will include Product, Marketing, Retail Ops, Customer Experience and more, ensuring alignment and collaboration is key.
  • Drive innovation by exploring and implementing emerging technologies, and contribute to the company’s strategic direction.
  • Join the charge in scaling our engineering capabilities, tackling challenges associated with growth and ensuring our teams are prepared for future demands.
  • Mentor and support Technical Leads and Engineers, focusing on their professional growth and well-being. Implement robust career development plans, regular 1:1s and feedback loops.
  • Establish and monitor success metrics, including delivery timelines, team efficiency, and the adoption of new technologies.
  • Be a key player in shaping and maintaining a diverse, inclusive, and innovative engineering culture that resonates across the entire organisation.
  • Partner with the talent acquisition team to identify, interview, and onboard top engineering talent, ensuring our team continues to grow in both skill and diversity.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that supports hybrid ways of working, both in the UK and Europe, ensuring we’re tapping into the best talent wherever it may be.
