In Engineering Services, we partner with staff across our organisation, people in our communities, state and federal agencies, businesses, and interest groups to deliver a range of programs and services to our City, including transportation, drainage, development engineering, and traffic management.

Responsibilities:

The Head of Engineering Services is responsible for the effective leadership, direction, and co-ordination of a highly skilled team of internal and external resources to deliver a diverse range of essential services including:

  • Transport Planning and Advocacy - ensure appropriate Transport Planning advice and advocacy is provided on all modes of transport services, infrastructure and facilities in the Penrith LGA
  • Investigations - are carried out which conform to approved standard and procedures with sound recommendations
  • Development Engineering – provide advice and construction of infrastructure associated with the new development is delivered in a timely manner in accordance with the adopted service specification
  • Traffic Management, Parking and Road Safety - advice and advocacy is provided in the Penrith LGA in accordance with the Council policy and Government programs and legislative requirements
  • Floodplain Management - undertake strategic analysis and develop strategies for flooding and draining in the City of Penrith in accordance with the Management Plan and other directives from Council and Government agencies
