The Role -

As the Head of English, you will:

• Lead and manage a successful and innovative English department.
• Drive the development of engaging and challenging schemes of work.
• Mentor and inspire colleagues to deliver outstanding teaching.
• Ensure exceptional outcomes for students at KS3, KS4, and KS5.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the school’s vision and ethos.

The Ideal Candidate -

To succeed in this role, you will:

• Hold QTS and a degree in English or a related field.
• Be an experienced and successful teacher of English, with a track record of raising student attainment.
• Have excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Demonstrate a commitment to nurturing a passion for English in young learners.
• Be ambitious, forward-thinking, and eager to make a lasting impact.
