Description:
HEAD OF ESTATES AND FACILITIES
Location: THORPE PARK Resort, KT16 8PN
Hours: 40 hours per week, Some evening and weekend work per business needs
Salary: £65,000
As our Head of Estates and Facilities, you will report into our Technical Services Director, working in a fast-paced and guest-facing business. Technical Services is a dynamic team responsible for all elements of maintenance across the Resort to ensure the park is operating safely and effectively at all times. Our team members are enthusiastic and motivated to deliver and improve the service we provide, whilst having a sense of fun and community that comes from working with Merlin Entertainments and Thorpe Park.
As Head of Estates and Facilities you will be responsible for the Resort facilities and infrastructure. You will ensure the repairs and upgrades are conducted safely and effectively by our Resort Project Manager and the Facilities and Landscape teams; who provide statutory, preventative, and corrective maintenance; landscapes maintenance; and cleanliness across the hotels and park. Directly working with the management and leadership team, you will contribute and support a consistent operation that continually exceeds our guest expectations!
Qualifications & Experience:
- Successful people manager/leader, with proven experience of creating strong, inclusive teams; maximising performance and potential
- Experience adhering to codes, policies, and regulations, enforcing high Health and Safety standards across your teams
- Construction Design and Management regulations knowledge
- Looking for ways to continually improve current practices, aligned to the wider business strategy
- Commercial awareness; experience managing budgets and P&L
- Organisation, time management, prioritising and the ability to handle a complex, varied workload
