Are you passionate about ethics, human rights, and driving meaningful change in a global organization? Danfoss is looking for a Head of Ethics & Human Rights to lead our commitment to ethical practices and human rights across the company.
In this critical role, you will shape and further develop our ethics and human rights programs, ensuring we not only meet but exceed international standards and stakeholders’ expectation. If you have an understanding of global ethics and human rights frameworks and are familiar with best practice in these areas, we want to hear from you.

BACKGROUND & SKILLS

As a person you have a high degree of empathy, integrity, and the ability to manage diverse perspectives effectively. You are a self-driven, structured, and persistent, with a good sense of humor.
You have a strategic mindset with high-level analytical skills, critical thinking, and solid judgment. You are able to work in a matrix organization and experience leading without direct authority. You have great communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ethics and human rights issues into business language.

Furthermore:

  • Master’s degree in international law, international politics, or a related field.
  • Several years of cross-organizational management experience, preferably within a large corporation.
  • Experience in corporate compliance, governance, sustainability and knowledge of international human rights frameworks (e.g., UN Global Compact, Modern Slavery Acts).

Responsibilities:

As the Head of Ethics & Human Rights you lead and own the content of the Danfoss Ethics Handbook and Human Rights program. You will drive continuous improvement of the ethics & human rights agenda within Danfoss, ensuring alignment with the company’s values and strategic objectives.
You will also have an important role in representing Danfoss in external human rights organizations and handle internal complaints related to ethics and human rights.

Furthermore:

  • Ensure compliance with human rights-related legislation and exceed customer expectations to create business opportunities.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee Human Rights Due Diligence processes and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders across HR, Communications, Procurement, and other departments to integrate ethics and human rights into our global operations.
  • Regularly issue compliance statements, such as the Modern Slavery Act statement, and contribute to annual reports.
  • Conduct trainings for employees and leaders regarding ethics & human rights and serve as a sparring partner on ethics issues
