Description:
The Head of Finance & Administration/Deputy Director (Finance & Administration) oversees the overall management of SPCA Singapore’s administrative and financial processes. The appointed candidate will also lead a team responsible for the full suite of human resource, financial and administrative activities.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing guidance to Executive Director and Board on strategic business directions by conducting financial planning, analysis, forecasting and advising on options for development.
- Ensuring financial integrity and accountability by maintaining all internal controls.
- Developing strategies for resource allocation and monitoring budget utilization.
- Generating timely financial statements and profit and loss reports to the Board.
- Developing yearly budgets in consultation with the SPCA Management team and Board.
- Managing Finance and Administration staff to ensure performance management and compliance to all regulations and processes.
- Coordinating and leading the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and the Finance sub-committee.
- Improving the HR and Administration by enhancing staff’s professional development, compensation and benefits, performance evaluation, training, and recruitment processes, supported by HR and Administration staff.
- Implementing a robust contracts management and reporting system.
- Updating and implementing all necessary business policies and accounting practices to improve the Finance department’s overall SOPs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Degree in related field with minimum 5 years of financial management experience.
- Professional Qualification – preferably Chartered Accountant or equivalent
- Proficiency in accounting software – knowledge in Xero Accounting will be advantageous
- Strong analytical, leadership and communication skills.
- Passion for animal welfare.
