Established in 2012, BECO Capital is one of the first venture capital firms in the GCC and the largest non-governmental VC in the region, managing $486 million in assets under management (AUM). The H ead of Finance is a critical position in our diverse team, working closely with BECO’s Finance & Operations Leadership and General Partners to ensure exemplary management of both entity-level and fund-level finances. This role plays a vital part in ensuring robust governance and compliance, and in maintaining strong relationships with our limited partners by providing transparent and accurate investment performance reporting as BECO Capital scales.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong senior stakeholder management
• Hyper detail-oriented and process-oriented
• Strong written and verbal communication in English
• Excellent financial modelling skills
• 5-7 years in a finance role within a medium-sized or large organisation, with a focus on financial controls.
• Proven experience in investment banking, private equity (PE), venture capital (VC), or a large family office.
• Strong expertise in budgeting, financial modelling, and analysis, supported by an accounting qualification.
• Extensive experience in managing budget close and audit processes.
• Extensive experience reading and negotiating investment contracts or large commercial contracts and working with third-party legal consultants or advisors.

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Collaborate with the finance team to lead the budgeting process, oversee cash management, and provide accurate forecasting for the firm and all its funds. Ensure smooth and timely audit processes for both the firm and its funds.
• Legal & Compliance: Review legal contracts and ensure compliance in all relevant jurisdictions for both the BECO entity and all funds including but not limited to investor side letters, investment contracts, limited partnership agreements, and emerging tax regulation.
• Portfolio Management and Investor Relations Support: Collaborate with the Finance team and General Partners on portfolio construction strategy and own the portfolio construction models for new funds; collaborate with the investment team on periodic valuation refreshes and portfolio optimization practices.
• Investor Reporting: Oversee the finance function in delivering regular investor reporting; represent BECO in investor due diligence processes and regular performance update calls with fund investors.
