Head of Finance

JOB SUMMARY:

Head of Finance is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the financial health and sustainability of Daisy Chain. You will provide strategic financial leadership, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and contribute to the achievement of the organisation’s mission and objectives. This role also involves making financial recommendations, supporting budgetary responsibilities, presenting reports, conducting feasibility studies for business development, and management of a small team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA), Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA), or qualified by experience.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

• Experience in a senior financial leadership role preferable, but not essential
• Knowledge of non-profit accounting principles, practices and regulations is desirable (preferably in the charity sector, but training can be provided).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Experience in writing and presenting financial reports is essential.
• Strong analytic mindset and excellent attention to detail is essential.
• Confidence in conducting financial analysis and feasibility studies for business development.
• Proficient in financial software and MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
