A leading German company based in Salzgitter, specializing in the implementation of management systems and providing services within the construction industry. The company is seeking a skilled Head of Finance to lead its finance department and manage key financial processes, ensuring compliance with German financial regulations.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in the financial sector, particularly in the construction industry, is preferred.
  • Ability to manage and supervise subordinates, delegate tasks effectively, and find solutions to complex issues.
  • Proven experience in short, medium, and long-term financial planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of German financial legislation.
  • Experience working with Datev accounting software.
  • Fluency in German and Russian.
  • Willingness to relocate to Salzgitter (accommodation provided).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the finance department, including payroll manager, accounts payable manager, accounts receivable manager, and accountant, as well as coordinate with an outsourced accounting firm.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, ensure accurate billing, and oversee payment processes.
  • Organize and prepare for financial audits, respond to correspondence related to financial matters.
  • Monitor and analyze the company’s financial performance, including break-even points and material assets.
  • Prepare and review monthly and annual balance sheets, organize management accounting, and develop the company’s accounting policies in line with legislation.
  • Provide senior management with timely and accurate financial information and reports.
  • Conduct economic analysis of the company’s activities to identify internal reserves and optimize costs.
  • Manage the company’s budgeting process, ensuring effective use of financial resources.
  • Handle interactions with banks regarding the placement of free financial assets on deposits.
  • Ensure proper storage of financial documents and records.
  • Lead, organize, and control the work of the finance department and oversee related structural units.
