Business Finance at Engineering and Design is responsible for securing the profitability of our future and existing products and services – controlling Engineering and Design Cost, Material Cost, Service Costs, and Investments in the Units.
At Finance, you are part of a global team that drives business performance to realize the objectives set out in Volvo Cars Corporate Strategy. You act in cooperation with colleagues in other business units world-wide, you and your team provide financial expertise and guidance. At Finance, you can push your own professional skills and drive change. We are looking for talented people with a positive mindset preferably with experience in Design, Engineering or Finance. The location is Gothenburg.
We are looking for a new team member in the Engineering business finance team, as Head of Finance for Software Engineering, does this sound like your next challenge?

DO YOU FIT THE PROFILE?

You have a university degree and at least five years of experience in a similar role within an international environment. We highly value experience in high-tech fields such as software and engineering. We are seeking an ambitious individual with a strong drive to succeed. To excel in this role, you need to have a holistic mindset, be well-organized, and possess the ability to use facts and business acumen to drive decisions towards business goals.
Experience in finance and controlling is essential, along with a high level of integrity, a positive attitude, and a willingness to embrace change. You should be people-oriented and capable of cross-functional collaboration. Fluency in both Swedish and English is required to effectively communicate complex data.

As Head of Finance you will be responsible for all financial matters related to Software Engineering - Engineering expenses, material cost as well as facilities & tooling investments. You are also manager for a team of 6 Controller and have the responsibility to lead and develop the team. Together you and the team will steer the financial development across product streams in your unit.
In this role you will drive and coordinate all finance-related questions together with your finance colleagues in Controlling and Accounting. You will steer and challenge the operation towards fulfilment of financial targets as well as drive operational efficiency. You are an active member of the management team for Software Engineering as well as the Engineering finance management team. In this role you will be working across both the operational function as well as across our global finance teams and our group companies.
