Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Head of Finance to join our finance team and support the Chief Financial Officer with the smooth running of the finance department. The role is pivotal to the business and you will oversee all aspects of the financial production and reporting while working in tandem with the Chief Financial Officer. You will thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment and have a talent for problem solving alongside a passion for supporting your stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with extensive experience of financial reporting and accounting standards, ideally including the insurance sector.
  • Good working knowledge of accounting systems/platforms; Excellent excel modelling skills.
  • A track record of motivating and developing individuals and teams.
  • Corporate finance experience, including fund raising, corporate structuring and exit strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • The position will be leading the finance team, reporting into the Chief Financial Officer to ensure robust financial controls are adequate.
  • Prepare the month-end reports to be presented to the Chief Financial Officer in readiness for the leadership team meetings.
  • Business unit strategic and financial planning, including budgets, plans and forecasts.
  • Business unit financial reporting and performance monitoring, including management reporting, and KPI analysis.
  • Delivery of statutory accounts; liaising with external auditors and other key stakeholders.Driving and supporting growth initiatives within the group, including refinancing and M&A.
