About the Job
UK Connect is an outstanding organisation looking for a Head of Finance to lead their finance team and support the Managing Director with the smooth running of the finance department. This is a permanent position and full or part time hours will be considered. This role requires someone to be fully qualified.
About the Role:
The position will be leading the finance team, reporting into the Managing Director to ensure robust financial controls are in place. In addition to overseeing month-end reporting, day to day Finance Operations, business planning, analysis and statutory reporting.
- Working as a business partner to the budget holders, ensuring accountability surrounding the variance results.
- Manage and lead the budget, forecasting and strategic planning process - implementing controls as required.
- Partner and support the MD and wider leadership team with pricing, investment and commercial decision support
- Oversee cashflow planning and management.
- Oversee the preparation of the statutory accounts, working with external auditors.
- Oversee the transactional finance including purchase ledger, sales ledger and treasury functions.
- Oversee and manage compliance to VAT and other statutory returns.
You will play a key role in the infrastructure development including systems, reporting and processes. This position would suit someone that is looking to take a step up from a Financial Controller, FP&A Manager position or someone that is already working at a similar level. The role offers a full breadth of scope, combing reporting, operational, Commercial and strategic involvement within the Business and Finance team.
The Successful Head of Finance Will Be/Have:
A formal Finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience. Experience of working within telecoms, IT managed services or Professional Services would be advantageous. Strong systems knowledge and experience of a previous ERP implementation would be highly desirable. Excel knowledge to an advanced level
