Nordic Solar is seeking a Head of Financial Planning and Analysis who can ensure comprehensive financial oversight. This position offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic Finance team in a well-managed growth company focused on solar energy.
As the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will be responsible for several clearly defined areas, which you are expected to manage independently. As the company grows, you will also handle various dynamic tasks. Your primary responsibilities will include leading and developing a team of seven controllers, as well as ongoing reporting, budgeting, and process optimization.

Reporting directly to CFO Jes Vengaard, you will actively contribute to the department’s development. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of controllers
  • Responsibility for budgeting/forecasting at the consolidated level and unit level
  • Responsibility for the preparation of monthly reporting
  • Group cash management
  • Controlling of European subsidiaries
  • Development of processes, reporting, and controls
  • Acting as a sparring partner for external reporting
  • Ad hoc development tasks

EXPERIENCED HEAD OF FINANCIAL PLANNING AND ANALYSIS WITH STRONG SYSTEM AND BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE

As the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, you have an educational background such as a Cand.Merc.Aud or a similar relevant financial qualification. We envision that you have at least 5 years of leadership experience overseeing teams of at least 5 employees. Alternatively, you may have experience from a role in the auditing industry, where you have been broadly engaged in various aspects of corporate finance. You bring well-developed IT skills in relevant reporting systems. To succeed in this role, it is essential that you have experience with budgeting, operational analysis, and consolidation, as well as a fundamental understanding of IFRS and accounting processes. Experience with Power-BI is also a plus.

ABOUT NORDIC SOLAR

We are on a mission to make everyone benefit from solar energy. In Nordic Solar we develop, construct, and operate utility-scale solar parks across Europe. We see solar energy as a central player in accelerating the energy transition towards a world powered by clean energy.
It is our ambition to be among the leading solar energy companies in the Nordics operating across the full value chain. This is where the sun, people and energy make an impact together. We have built a strong organisation with in-house expertise and experience in managing every step on the way from securing land rights and permits over engineering, procurement, and construction to the sale of power. And we are looking for more talented colleagues to join the journey.
We believe in good energy. Both when it comes to the energy transition and to Nordic Solar as a workplace. We aim to create a workplace where people can thrive and grow by fostering a collaborative environment where we challenge ourselves professionally and prioritise having fun together. We provide a range of opportunities for professional growth, as well as physical and mental well-being – such as flexible work hours, physical training, company-subsidized massage, knowledge sharing, and social events.
We believe in the power of diversity and inclusion. Our team is diverse in nationality, education, and experience, empowering our innovation and adaptability. Regardless of your background or circumstances, we encourage you to apply for this position if you believe it could be a great fit for you. Even if you don’t tick every box in the job description, we’d still love to hear from you. We value potential as much as we value qualifications.
