In this role, you will lead the Fluid Mechanics and Component Design team in Technology in Baden, Switzerland, which is responsible for our advanced simulation methods to ensure up-to-date development of our core components.
Reporting to the Head of Core Components, you will innovate our simulation toolbox and support component and product development projects.

Your responsibilities:

  • Leading an R&D team of four engineers
  • Plan and allocate team resources
  • Provide up-to-date methods (e.g. machine learning optimization) for component engineers
  • Support technology developments with simulation and design tasks
  • Collaboration with universities and research institutes to support our technological leadership position
  • Manage our own High-Performance Computing cluster

Your background:

  • At least five years of experience in mechanical engineering (required), working in R&D with thermal turbomachinery (preferred)
  • Sound knowledge of CFD methods
  • Knowledge of Ansys CFX
  • Lean Six Sigma and/or project management skill sets are a plus
  • A solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills in German and English language
