ABOUT YOU

You have an engineering or a scientist background in biotechnology, biochemistry, or other natural science studies and 5+ years’ work experience, preferably on industrial protein formulation or adjacent technologies. We are looking for demonstrated leadership experience, a track record of successful industrial product and/or technology development projects, and fluent English with good communication skills. Preferably also oral Finnish language skills.
You enjoy creating results through and with people and have a passion for making teams succeed. You also have strong communication and organization skills in being able to lead and collaborate across disciplines as well as external partners. You are a pro-active problem solver and innovator with a clear vision for future developments.

You will be leading our formulation team in the R&D department. In order to be successful in this role, you have multi-year experience in R&D leadership and resource management. The primary tasks of this role are:

• Heading the Formulation team within R&D, currently 11 FTE
• Managing the enzyme formulation R&D activities while actively interfacing with other disciplines within R&D and beyond
• Implementing the company and R&D strategy, including Intellectual Property and profitability accounting into the formulation discipline and team.

You work closely with colleagues in and outside of R&D. Your cooperation with the quality control and production departments enables a smooth handover when processes are transferred from R&D to manufacturing.
