Description:
Job Purpose:
The Head of Global Compensation & Benefits is accountable for the strategy, implementation and operations of all compensation and employee benefits programs and processes globally. This position will establishes the guidelines for global and local compensation plans as well as benefit program; providing special guidance and assistance to the divisions and locations, ensuring compliance, while advising on innovative and creative ways to compensate colleagues to provide useful benefits that promote engagement, aid retention and attraction.
Location: Maidenhead – 2 days per week in the office/hybrid
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrable experience leading a compensation and benefits function or ready to step up into a leadership role, within a large, complex, global business.
- Proven experience working with and supporting a plc RemCo/NomCo.
- In depth expertise of different compensation models, structure and vehicles.
- Familiarity with a number of different benchmarking surveys and approaches as well as job evaluation.
- Experience working across multiple geographies.
- Executive compensation experience.
- Experience creating balance scorecards and dealing with financial metrics and incentive plan KPI assessment.
- Proven senior stakeholder and leadership interaction and management skills. Including the ability to influence and collaborate effectively, to be seen as a true partner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent leadership and development style to leading a small geographically dispersed team.
- Strong strategic approach to Reward balanced with a willingness to work hands-on with team.
- Proficient in data reporting and analysis.
- Experience in managing multi-country compensation and benefits programs.

Responsibilities:
- Exercising judgement and influencing key stakeholders on reward and benefits matters in a way that monitors and maintains modern, inclusive and fair pay practices.
- Leading the strategy, design and execution the compensation, equity, and benefits programs to help attract and retain the best talent, all while balancing bottom line and business objectives.
- Supporting the RemCo in its annual remuneration cycle, with particular emphasis on the Senior Leadership bonus plans and remuneration levels, external benchmarking with similar AIM listed organisations, LTIPs/RSAs, DRR and reporting more broadly for UK Gender Pay Gap/EU pay transparency.
- Manage relationships with external market data providers and ensure salary structures are accurately designed and market benchmarked.
- Leading the reward cycle and working closely with the global teams in delivering annual processes and collaborating HR team to tailor reward strategies to different markets.
- Advises and supports in the development and execution of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based on group / divisional goals, acquisitions, strategic planning and growth objectives.
- Conducts salary benchmark analysis to update the compensation strategy as appropriate and to identify opportunities in compensation that result in additional benefits for the employee or savings to the company.
- Designs and led the salary review and bonus process.
- Advises HR and functional leaders to ensure competitive pay rates and benefits programs for employee retention or recognition
- Provision of accurate, timely and actionable data insight to support business planning.
- Create and revise employee benefits policies to assess whether they are current, competitive and legal
- Promote and communicate company benefits and compensation policies
- Works with company leaders on creating the strategy and guidelines for equity-sharing programs as required
- Ensure compliance with local compensation and benefits requirements
