EDUCATIONAL

• A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CISCO, AWS, CompTIA).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Over 3+ years managing IT Operations, Technical Support, Desktop Support/Service Delivery.
• Practical experience in managing and optimising IT infrastructure, encompassing both on-premises and cloud environments, server stacks, networking, and storage solutions.
• Technical Knowledge – Microsoft, Linux, LAN/WAN and SAN, Cybersecurity, Active Directory, Disaster Recovery, Office365, Cloud technologies.
• Strong technical background in Infrastructure, Networking and Cloud solutions including network Redesign, Microsoft Solutions, Tenant Migrations, Systems upgrades / Implementation and good IT project delivery.
• Proven ability to innovate and implement cost-effective IT solutions that support business objectives.
• Expertise in automating routine tasks, managing patches, and ensuring that system updates are efficiently applied.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security practices and cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• IT Partner and IT Vendor engagement and management.
• Experience in leading and managing an engineering team.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to establish credibility and articulate a clear vision to positively influence stakeholders of all levels.
• Able to work in a fast paced and agile commercial enterprise.
• Collaborative style of working and facilitating positive change in an ambitious, growing business.

IN YOUR ROLE AS THE HEAD OF IT OPERATIONS YOU WILL OVERSEE THE DAY-TO-DAY MANAGEMENT AND FUNCTIONING OF AMCS GROUPS IT INFRASTRUCTURE AND SYSTEMS. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THE RELIABILITY, SECURITY, AND EFFICIENCY OF IT OPERATIONS, MANAGING IT PERSONNEL, OVERSEEING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF IT PROJECTS, AND DEVELOPING STRATEGIES TO IMPROVE IT PROCESSES AND PROCEDURES.

• Spearhead technical projects and continuous improvement efforts, ensuring that all changes are delivered within the designated timeline, budget, and specifications.
• Deliver exceptional service by engaging proactively with stakeholders across the business.
• Manage a team of engineers, setting clear objectives, offering hands-on technical support, conducting performance assessments, and promoting the team’s professional growth.
• Manage relationships with external vendors Service Providers, including outsourced IT services. Ensure that vendors adhere to contracts and meet service level agreements.
• Take a central role in IT governance, ensuring that all IT operations align with relevant legal requirements, regulations, and industry best practices. This includes maintaining proper documentation and processes for auditing and reporting purposes, as well as overseeing risk management and business continuity planning.
