Description:

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead global sales and tendering team to meet budgeted order intake and secure pipeline aligned with five-year projects.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting, achieving a bid-to-contract conversion rate over 20%, and converting 60% of construction projects to long-term engagements.
  • Develop and lead a scalable global sales team, defining and achieving regional targets.
  • Implement and adhere to sales and tendering processes for sustainable contract wins, collaborating on sales prioritization criteria and five-year strategy.
  • Communicate sales and business development direction across all levels, developing go-to-market strategies and business cases for new market entry.
  • Position the brand globally, identifying opportunities for differentiation, and promoting a collaborative, winning culture.
  • Ensure contract recommendations and process improvements, developing tactical plans and maintaining a healthy pipeline of renewable opportunities.
  • Train and engage sales and tendering managers, gathering and utilizing commercial intelligence in offerings and pricing.
  • Secure internal approvals and investment committee sign-offs, collaborating with leadership on comprehensive sales plans and aligning sales intelligence with NPD processes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive experience in leading and managing global sales teams, with a strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Deep understanding of the renewables offshore industry, including market dynamics, key players, and emerging trends.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies.
  • Exceptional skills in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including Developers, EPCIs, and OEMs.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to close high-value contracts.
  • Ability to analyze sales performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to optimize results.

You will be responsible for leading customer negotiations and positioning James Fisher as a premier independent service and solution provider to key customer segments such as Developers, EPCIs, and OEMs. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in strategically positioning James Fisher as a leader in the offshore wind market and expanding our presence in emerging sectors like Hydrogen and Carbon Capture, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the energy transition.
