We are looking for an experienced Head of Global Warehousing to join the team, the company distributes through 5 DC’s worldwide to retail and wholesale customers, distributors and direct to consumers. This role requires cost and performance management of a multimillion £ annual warehousing budget with third party service to support Joseph Joseph growth plans. The Head of Global Warehousing reports to the Chief supply chain officer and is key member of the global supply chain Leadership Team.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Proven experience in a warehouse and been promoted to a management position responsible for warehousing.
  • Managed a 3PL, or 3PL’s in multiple locations
  • Has a track record of driving warehousing operating efficiencies and improving effectiveness.
  • Has experience in a CPG/FMCG business and knows what it takes to succeed in these environments.
  • Used to managing substantial multimillion £ budget with full P&L responsibility
  • Used to managing internal team performance, development and training
  • Direct experience of e-commerce B2C and B2B.
  • Proven experience of Warehousing service provider tender processes, rate card negotiations and new service provider implementations
  • Preferably previous experience working with SAP and an understanding of EDI connectivity
  • Ability to extract, manipulate and present data from multiple sources (ERP, Data Warehouse, WMS & TMS) with great expertise in excel

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 3 with full P&L and cost responsibility for global warehousing
  • Relationship management of our world-wide 3rd party logistic partners (3PL).
  • In collaboration with our 3PL’s devise ways to improve operating efficiencies (cost, time, service and quality)
  • Develop KPI’s that accurately depict the health of our worldwide warehouses (cost, quality, service) at all times.
  • Inventory excess/obsolete reporting and inventory write-off management is performed on a regular cadence.
  • Ensure that systems and reporting provide end to end visibility of stock movements from inbound supply to outbound shipments
  • Responsible for new customer operational on-boarding.
  • Driving process and system enhancements, facilitating cost down opportunities with warehouse partners. Ensure our systems are y integrated with 3PL providers to allow seamless information flow from/to our ERP system and partner WMS and TMS
  • Continue to develop our global warehouse network, constantly reviewing current warehouses to decide when to upgrade or change provider with responsibility for new contract tenders and implementation of new warehouse locations in line with the company’s strategic goals
  • Management of internal and external reporting as required (e.g. WEEE or packaging waste reporting)
