- Able to build strong relationships, earning trust through understanding diverse perspectives and following through on commitments.
- Track record of strategic advice to functional leaders
- CIPD qualification preferred
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE
As Senior Manager, HR Business Partners & HR Operations, Europe you will lead a multidisciplined team of Human Resources Business Partners, Employee Relations, and HR Operations specialists in managing the identification, design and delivery of human capital outcomes across Vanguard’s European footprint. In this highly visible and impactful role, you will work with staff and leaders across Vanguard’s European business to enable individuals and teams to perform at their best. This role is a member of the Americas and Europe HR Leadership Team and you will be a culture carrier, embodying our values and encouraging others to do the same.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strong partnership with HR and business stakeholders to develop human capital strategy (includes DEI strategy) that will accelerate and enable business outcomes across Vanguard’s International division and region. Perform diagnostics and work through complex factors that influence strategy.
- Convert human capital strategy into clear measurable actions, navigating multiple functions, teams and stakeholders across a highly matrixed global organization. Oversee and execute on HR workstream of regulatory programs, enterprise projects (for example Data Privacy, Audits) and regional strategic initiatives (for example location strategy and office openings).
- Use data to drive strategic decisions, monitor progress and identify risks.
- Paint a compelling vision of strategy to motivate HR and business stakeholders. Manage situations with conflicting views and priorities across local/global HR and business stakeholders.
- Perform a broad leadership role across HR; ‘raising the bar’ on talent, coaching and developing team members, and driving strong overall team engagement.
- Create strong understanding of enterprise HR offers and global function human capital strategy to create standard work to benefit the region and enterprise.
- Coach leaders on a wide range of talent related items such as organisational design and effectiveness, performance management, executive coaching.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for the development of strategic Human Resources plans aligned with corporate business objectives. Work with senior leaders to continue evolving the processes and policies in support of the strategy. Educate leaders on HR best practice and proactively address the HR needs of the division, maintaining strategic alignment between the business and HR.
- Direct and oversee HR operations, including identifying efficiencies and driving automation and process improvement
- Build relationships across departments and drive an effective human resources partnership with leaders, consulting on HR planning and related issues.
- Consult with leaders across the European business to develop HR strategies that support the needs of the business and contribute to the development of HR strategy.
- Work with senior leadership on determining the best employee goals, metrics, and drivers.
- Monitor HR trends by working with HR Data & Analytics teams to prepare and analyse reports from employee data. Present analysis and recommendations to managers and develop action plans for addressing HR issues.
