Job Purpose: dnata is one of the world’s largest air and travel services providers; offering ground handling, cargo, travel and catering & retail services at over 130 airports in more than 30 countries across six continents. dnata Cargo offers premium cargo handling services for passenger belly cargo and freighter cargo.
As a Head of HR , you will lead related HR functions at a country / business level and collaborate with the global HR network to drive a consistent approach to talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, talent retention and development, training and HR operations, and promote an employee experience which is in line with the dnata values.
You will support business decisions as key member of the local leadership team and will contribute to the HR Strategy and drive the implementation of local strategic and operational HR programs aligned with the company wide goals and in compliance with local legislation. This role is based full-time in our office in Bucharest, Romania.

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Develop and drive the delivery of effective HR strategies and work plans aligned with Group and country / business level strategic priorities.
  • Lead, plan, schedule and formulate the recruitment schedule for the year liaising with the business on the various selection and recruitment methods to attract and retain the best candidates. Manage the recruitment process including shortlisting, interviews, references, salary negotiations and the on-boarding process.
  • Lead talent management and succession planning for business continuity, ensuring development plans for all high potential talent and succession plans in place for critical roles.
  • Oversee the on-going development and maintenance of the HR shared services provision locally, along with the various HR information system requirements.
  • Define and implement the local culture and engagement plan, including establishment of local champions to help promote and drive initiatives locally, with a focus on wellbeing, they community, the environment and diversity and inclusion.
  • Lead Union Negotiations locally and liaise with the Group to ensure best practice and legal compliance.
  • Partner with leaders on structural and organisational changes (including change management, communications, job evaluation etc) at a business or department level to ensure an efficient and optimal organisation design to deliver to the future needs, actively liaising with other key internal stakeholders as required.
  • Responsible for end-to-end HR functions at a country / business level locally, championing HR best practices; keep abreast of existing and new legislations and ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, monitor and review compensation and benefits, including grading structures and salary scales, proactively presenting recommendations along with the appropriate justification, for any adjustments to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE, YOU MUST MEET THE BELOW REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor or Masters qualification in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • 10 years plus experience in HR, including prove experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably in a multi-national organisation.
  • Strong regional experience, including application of employment legislation, HR processes, and practice across relevant jurisdiction(s).
  • Proven experience of HR systems.
  • Proven experience in Project and change management.
  • Experience in building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Unions.
  • Leadership capabilities with the financial competency to devise, execute and manage budgets.
