Job Description
We are looking for someone that has a genuine passion for HR, with the desire to do the right thing for the business and our people. They should be an experienced and confident HR professional who loves working in changing and growing environments on a global scale.
The role will partner with members of the senior leadership team to develop and implement HR initiatives that foster a high-performance culture, drive employee engagement, and contribute to the overall success of our business.
This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, leadership acumen, and deep HR expertise (and energy!).
The successful candidate will be action-oriented and credible. They will have the ability to develop strong relationships with the business yet drive execution tactically and manage the balance between the two.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Strategic planning: To work with senior leadership to design, deliver and execute the functional people plans that drive the business’ long-term goals and priorities.
- Lead on strategic organisational changes, designing TOMs, delivering M&A, and supporting change and implementation planning where required.
- To work with the business to understand key people and organisational requirements, particularly relating to people capability, organisational design and culture and feed this into the global Fastmarkets HR people plan.
- Work with business managers to develop succession plans, development, training, and retention initiatives.
- HR Metrics - providing insight reports and analysis of essential HR data to line management. Will recommend programs and/or improvements as necessary.
- Act as a Business Partner, role modelling positive behaviours and contributing to the development of the division.
- Coach management and employees on how to drive the effectiveness of their organisation and the performance of their people.
- Act as a trusted thought partner for the business on internal policies, career guidance and performance management.
- Manages and resolves employee relations issues.
- Execution of ad hoc HR initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and have a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.
- Experience of working as a senior HR Business Partner/Head of HR at a managerial level in a fast-moving global environment.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate HR strategies into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills and a demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Track record of understanding key drivers in a business area and working in partnership to measurably improve people management practices.
- Experience of successfully influencing senior stakeholders by creating shared understanding and agreement.
- Change leadership- has experience of facilitating people change.
- Experience in coaching leaders and managers to bring out their best in their teams to strive for continuous improvement.
- Has worked in a commercial business environment and understands the commercial drivers and pressures that dictate the pace and decision-making process – acts as a role model to encourage a collaborative and inclusive approach to how the team functions.
- Experience of M&A activity, ideally on a global basis.
