For our German site in Münchsmünster we are looking for a

QUALIFICATIONS

• University or equivalent degree in Chemical/Process/Environmental Engineer or similar
• 6 – 10 years of experience in the refining, petrochemical, chemical industry or other industries where the responsibilities and accountabilities of the job could have been experienced
• Fluency German and English skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize own workload
• Ability to motivate people towards common goals and objectives
• Strong leadership competencies and experience
• Team player with open mind and good communication and network skills

The purpose of the job is to ensure GoalZERO environment by taking into consideration the internal and external health, safety, environmental, quality, security, and legal requirements and to contribute to a safe production of monomers and polymers as well as to actively contribute to the optimization of the integrated management system and the manufacturing and logistic processes.

The Head of HSEQS collaborates with the Site Team, the corporate HSEQS organization as well as with the relevant authorities and external specialists to support and to continuously improve the performance of the organization and the safe operation of the assets, and to ensure the quality of the products and services.

• Ensures compliance and drives continuous improvement in HSEQS for the site
• Promote health by planning and conducting health program and actions, support site health management and operate the health center by involving the company doctor
• Assurance of tasks according to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, in particular consultancy of plant and department managers, analysis of accident and damage events, construction site safety, permit to work, risk analysis, coordination of safety officers (SiBe), coordination ASA, PPE. Provision of occupational safety specialists
• Advising plant operators on all legal HSE requirements, including ensuring the necessary permits (BImSchG, WHG, KrWG, TEHG, etc.) and compliance with legal and permit requirements (Legal Compliance). Implement air pollution control, noise abatement, and waste and wastewater disposal procedures, as well as providing environmental officer functions. Ensure all statutory site-specific requirements under the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Act for the plants at the site. Contact for authorities and local institutions
• Ensure quality control to comply with specifications, handle customer complaints, support GMP and meet ISO 9001 requirements;
• Manage site security requirements by operation of gate house and fence monitoring assuring access control system, weighing of product shipping and material deliveries, vehicle and personal checks, etc.
• Supervision of the integrated management system for the fulfillment of certification requirements (ISO9001, 14001, 50001, etc.) and company requirements (operational excellence) including the conduct of regular internal and external audits, as well as the implementation of corrective measures
• Develop site emergency response system, maintain ER plans and crisis room
