Summary
We are looking for a “Head of Industrial Engineering (f/m/d)” for the “Operations” department in Oberkochen as soon as possible.
The “Operations” department is responsible for production process design and optimization, jigs & tools, production and service support as well as troubleshooting, digitalization, automation & robotics within production. In addition, the focus is on support for production-oriented product design and the optimization of current products.

Your Tasks

• Technical and disciplinary management and further development of the Industrial Engineering department
• Responsibility for the operational management of the department and the continuous optimization of production processes
• Monitoring and supporting industrialization in the product creation process in development projects, product launches, increases in quantities and relocations for complex opto-electronic assemblies through to fully integrated delivery items and systems
• Responsibility for setting up the infrastructure to ensure the product launch, validation and acceptance of new production systems as well as the optimization and automation of production processes
• Identifying potential for increasing efficiency and implementing suitable measures to reduce production costs and improve product quality
• Definition of manufacturing design specifications in close cooperation with engineering / design and quality for new products
• Development of assembly and testing concepts in close cooperation with Production, Design and Quality
• Continuous promotion and further development of assigned employees
• Working closely with other departments such as Production, Quality Management, Purchasing and Logistics to ensure the smooth implementation of projects

Your Profile

• Completed studies in the field of industrial engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or comparable
• Many years of professional experience in a managerial position in industrial engineering, ideally in a manufacturing company
• Many years of experience in technical project management
• Sound knowledge of lean management, Six Sigma and other process optimization methods
• Experience in optimizing production organizations and processes
• Comprehensive technical understanding of processes, products, technologies and industrialization structures
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Strong communication skills and the ability to act confidently at different hierarchical levels as well as very good organizational skills
• Independent entrepreneurial thinking and acting as well as a quality and solution-oriented way of working
• Business fluent in English and German
