Choice People are seeking a Head of IT for an innovative and growing manufacturing company located in the Midlands. This role is part of the senior management team and involves overseeing both the strategic and operational aspects of the IT function. The successful candidate will ensure that technology initiatives are aligned with the company’s business goals. This is a Monday to Friday position.*

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the company’s IT strategy to support business goals.
• Oversee and maintain the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, security, and cloud-based solutions.
• Lead and manage IT projects, including system upgrades, software implementations, and network enhancements.
• Ensure seamless integration of new systems and technologies into the existing IT architecture.
• Manage and optimize ERP systems to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
• Provide leadership and direction to the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain IT policies, security protocols, and compliance frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology solutions that drive business growth.

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong background in IT infrastructure management, including servers, networks, and cloud computing.
• Extensive experience leading and delivering IT projects from conception to implementation.
• Expertise in system integration, ensuring seamless interoperability between business applications and infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and Microsoft 365 solutions.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, business intelligence tools (Power BI), and automation platforms (PowerApps).
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or MCSE are highly desirable.

Key Business Information Systems:

• ERP Solid Experience or knowledge - Business Central*
• MES/Production awareness - (Armaor and PPAA: Sidero app in Azure)*.
• Integration of mission critical business/production systems (eg BC/Armaor/BC over API)*.
• Data Reporting/BI (PowerBI etc - awareness of importance and fundamentals key) *
