Description:

DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business is seeking a Head of IT – Clinical Logistics. You will be accountable for developing the strategic vision for the Clinical Logistics business unit and will support the development and implementation of an IT platform to be used by global customers across 4 global regions.

Responsibilities:

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for the delivery of IT services within the Clinical Logistics business unit. Including regional responsibility, with high IT complexity and customer interaction through the extended UKI IT community.
  • Delivery of large-scale IT change programme through build cycle in 2024/5 and rollout to 2029.
  • Business partner for Clinical Logistics as the primary contact for all IT service provision including IT budget and cost control, account management and business development.
  • Lead the IT team to deliver the IT strategy and to develop customer and operational value through continuous improvement, maintaining existing solutions and building innovative new solutions and commercial approaches.
  • Ensure that DHL IT Strategy and Governance is adhered to.
  • Provide demonstrable knowledge of supply chain technologies to meet the business needs of today and the future and accountable for the IT pipeline and programme scheduling.
  • Drive and guide the behaviours of the team to build and maintain key relationships with operational business owners and our customers.
  • IT Cost management - be aware of IT cost base and delivery drivers. Maintain regular monitoring and reviews to ensure transparency, effective control, and act as appropriate.
  • Measure and review the quality of IT services delivered from key partners and internal and external service providers.
  • Internal stakeholder relationships - lead and co-ordinate relationships and communication with Central Development Office and key local IT Management teams.
  • External customer relationships - with large Pharmaceutical global organisations as appropriate to support implementation and existing operations.
  • IT value creation and commercialisation of IT function to BU and external stakeholders.
  • IT Budget and lead the IT budget creation, management, and work with the Financial Controllers to leverage opportunities.
