KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Overseeing the overall management and performance of the entire IT project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and business demand
• Define and implement processes to optimise the delivery of projects and programmes
• Managing projects: Prioritizing projects, ensuring they are resourced with effective project management, and managing them in line with Ascot standards
• Contributing at leadership level, engaging, liaising and providing support to all stakeholders
• Articulate and able to command the attention and respect of business partners and company executives
• Contributing with fresh ideas on strategy, business planning, and service delivery that will challenge normal practice
• Working closely with senior business stakeholders to provide technical guidance and help build and execute strategies for business development and growth.
• Work closely with the Architecture, Product Managers and PMO functions to deliver the strategy roadmap in a predictable and sustainable way
• Actively manage the IT delivery budget in collaboration with the COO functions and the CIO
• Providing the leadership and strategic direction on organisational change initiatives to enhance project delivery capabilities
• Ensuring resilience and succession within the department and managing risks around resources accordingly.
• Mentoring colleagues, helping to build their skills, development of the talent in-house and supporting them across a range of areas including, technology and its application within Ascot UK and Bermuda
• Building and sustaining an integrated, diverse and high performing team that anticipates and responds to the needs of the organisation and key stakeholders
• Contribute to strategy to turn specific opportunities into cross-business platforms and services to encourage re-use and technology efficiency
• Continuous improvement in the methods of working and best practice

To lead Ascot’s IT Delivery Team for the syndicate and Bermuda. This will include:

• Reporting to the CIO, as Head of IT Delivery you will have the overall responsibility for executing on the Ascot rolling 3-year technology strategy.
• Combining people, process, and technology to continually deliver projects and services at a planned, predictable and sustainable pace, on-time and on-budget.
• Be an active member of the Portfolio Management Board and Service Review Board, ensuring the overall management of IT projects and programmes

• Working closely with the COO functions and Project Management Office to ensure seamless and consistent project deliveryProject / Program manage change initiatives as and when necessary.
