Description:
Job Title: Head of IT Product Management
Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Salary: £90k+ with executive level benefits including bonus and car allowance.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
- Degree in IT, Business, or equivalent experience (e.g., Computer Science, Prince 2 Foundation, HNC)
- Proven track record in managing IT functions and leading large teams within complex organisations
- Skilled in building and managing investment portfolios aligned with organisational strategy and handling large budgets
- Experience in delivering key IT projects and managing various aspects of IT management, including change and service delivery
- Strong ability to manage and develop teams, ensuring skills align with business needs and resource planning
- Familiar with IT trends, technologies, and implementing business process improvements
Responsibilities:
- Drive the delivery of the Product Fulfilment Capability by shaping the strategy, overseeing project execution, and ensuring seamless service alignment with BAE Submarines and Group objectives
- Inspire, mentor, and lead a diverse IT team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional growth
- Ensure the successful execution of IT projects, guaranteeing they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Manage the financial budget for the product group, overseeing service delivery, change initiatives, and governance across both revenue and capex budgets
- Engage with strategic vendors to establish optimal delivery and maintenance frameworks, ensuring the continuity and quality of IT services
- Work closely with the Senior Management Team and Management Committee to identify and address IT needs, driving alignment with organisational priorities
- Lead large-scale change initiatives within the IT function and across the organisation, facilitating smooth transitions and securing stakeholder commitment
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators, providing insightful reporting to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of IT services and projects
