Description:
37 HOURS PER WEEK, 52 WEEKS PER YEAR
As our Head of Learner Services, you will work closely with the Executive Director of Learner Services on the implementation of the Learner Journey Strategy. You will lead your teams to ensure that the Customer Service consistently exceeds the needs and expectations of our customers. You will support the Executive Director of Learner Services to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for all aspects of customer and learner service that starts from the moment the first contact is made with the College and continues after out learners have progressed.
The post holder will develop and maintain positive relationships and partnerships both within the College to achieve these objectives through the pursuit of excellence in every aspect of your work.

Responsibilities of our Head of Learner Services:
- To act as a champion and drive a customer service ethos throughout the College that embraces the College’s core values and supporting the creation of a culture of excellence with a relentless focus on the customer in every aspect of the College’s life.
- Support on the ongoing development of the College’s tutorial programme.
- Support on admissions, IAG and Careers advice
- Lead on cross college enrichment
- Lead on learner engagement
- Provide outstanding learner services at all stages of the customer journey, facilitating financial, learning, and practical support for customers to enable everyone to succeed and achieve their learning goals.
- Support all matters relating to audit and inspection.
What we’re looking for in our Head of Learner Services:
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
- A minimum of GCSE English and mathematics at Grade C or above.
- High level safeguarding training.
- Evidence of continuing professional development that includes specialisation in FE. / HE / Apps / 14-16 learner services setting.
- Up-to-date and specialist knowledge of the FE Sector, in particular the policy developments about Learner Services and Safeguarding.
- Up to date knowledge of the HE sectors and experience of leading services for HE students.
- Up to date knowledge of all provision types normally found within a GFE college.
- Experience of customer services, enrichment, tutorial, finance related matters in an FE based 14-16 setting.
