Head of Legal, Canada Branch

This position offers the opportunity to advise the Canada Branch on a wide variety of Wholesale and Rural transactions and assist Branch management on a variety of governance and regulatory matters.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparing, reviewing, negotiating and processing legal documentation for transactional and non-transactional matters
• Providing advice on legal matters related to transactional matters, including the structuring of loan facilities and the taking of security
• Developing, maintaining and providing training on certain legal policies and procedures
• Providing regulatory guidance and governance support for the Rabobank Canada Branch and Rabo Securities Canada, Inc.
• Assisting with Canadian employment laws
• Advising on changes in laws and regulations as they apply to the Rabobank Canada Branch
• Where applicable, providing legal support to the workout/restructure leads in Wholesale and Rural relating to Rabobank Canada Branch loans
• Other duties as assigned.

To be considered for the Head of Legal - Canada Branch role, you must have:

• 15+ years of a mix of law firm and in house commercial lending experience
• Canadian law degree and ability to practice law in Toronto, ON
• Ability to travel regionally, up to 15
