Responsibilities:

We are currently searching for a driven and dedicatedHead of Legal, Risk & Compliance on a Full-time basis to join our close-knit team at Mounties, located in Mount Pritchard.
The role will be providing specialist legal, risk management and compliance support, advice, ongoing maintenance and development of the organisations risk and compliance frameworks, in accordance with regulatory, industry, legal and business standards and requirements.

More specifically, some of your key duties will include:

  • Establish, review and recommend changes to the group’s legal, risk, compliance and AML/CTF frameworks
  • Establish and manage control assurance frameworks across the business to manage legal, compliance and AML/CTF risks.
  • Act as the organisation’s AML/CTF Compliance Officer.
  • Support business units in all matters pertaining to legal, risk and compliance, including by assisting the business to identify and managing perceived, potential and actual conflicts of interest and by providing advice on key compliance matters and regulatory developments, including any regulatory change that may impact the business.
  • Continuously seek out process improvement initiatives and areas of improvement to consistently uplift the management of legal, risk and compliance processes across the Group.
  • Act as the point of contact for regulators and identify and stay abreast of new and emerging regulatory themes, areas of interest and regulatory changes.
  • Provide timely and accurate legal advice and assistance and liaise with external legal counsel as required.
  • Prepare insightful reporting and analysis for executive management and board committees to facilitate effective oversight and management of material legal, risk, compliance and AML/CTF risks.
  • Perform key activities related to the organisations legal, risk, compliance and AML frameworks, delivering advice, guidance and oversight to business units and functions.
