PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (IF ANY)

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field OR CPA/CA
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in data analytics, portfolio management or related roles in financial services Proficiency in utilizing data tools to drive informed commercial decisions.

Responsibilities:

ROLE PURPOSE:

To proactively monitor the liabilities portfolio and work with multiple stakeholders to drive bottom line performance.
This includes optimization of liabilities pricing & customer pay outs across retail segments, identifying consumer behavior trends and devising strategies to improve balances and margins across liabilities products.
The job holder will work closely with Head of Business to develop growth & execute growth initiatives. This includes data model-based retention & acquisition campaigns and propensity models based tactical actions
The key focus of this role will be to grow the retail bank’s liabilities balances, revenue (including fee income) & customer numbers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE:

Responsibilities:

  • Day to day monitoring of liabilities customers balance trends
  • Periodically churn out Balance & income forecasts with recommended actions to protect & grow the balance sheet.
  • Partner with with sales channels and supporting units to grow the deposit portfolio.
  • Participate (and lead) regular business reviews, including sales planning, forecasting and portfolio analysis.
  • Development & review of alternate channels of acquisition through online & offline platforms.
  • Determine & implement effective pricing strategy to optimize the P&L, with a view of sustainable growth.
  • Review business system functionality to recommend enhancements with a view to enhance effectiveness and reduce long term costs through efficiencies in the form of automation, data availability & proactive triggers for course correction.
  • Develop, roll out and drive liabilities related campaigns & promos.
  • Provide support to the Head of Business on strategic projects, including material initiatives such as scale up across markets & new channels.
  • Work closely with the Digital transformation function to digitally deliver & execute tactical campaigns.

SPECIALIST SKILLS / TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE:

  • Highly Analytical
  • Financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
  • Ability to collate & interpret data.
  • Advance MIS skills with proficiency in Excel; experience on other data applications such as SAAS would be a +
  • Strong knowledge of UAE market
  • Familiar with Islamic Banking operating models
  • Strong inter-personal skills, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Results oriented: is self-motivated driven by the need to succeed.
  • Effective planner with a track record in timely delivery of customer campaigns & financial objectives
