JOB REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • University degree in a relevant technical discipline, or comparable qualification.
  • Relevant working experience, preferably in power plant maintenance and project management.
  • A Health and Wellbeing and safety focused professional who inspires, manages, and develops teams to reach their full potential.
  • Entrepreneurial and strategic thinking with ability to act under conditions of uncertainty.
  • Self-motivated to drive the business, increase performance and deliver results paired with ability to manage teams through change processes.
  • Business fluent in German and English and willingness to work in an international environment.Experience with Lean Six Sigma practices and with Asset Integrity Management.

Responsibilities:

  • You will report to the Essen-Karnap Plant Manager and collaborate with colleagues in Operations, Asset Management, and Engineering.
  • Lead by example in managing safety, health, wellbeing, and environmental protection, inspiring your team to follow suit.
  • Ensure cost-efficient plant operation while prioritizing safety, integrity, and environmental limits.
  • Develop and enhance long-term maintenance and outage strategies to meet reliability and performance goals.
  • Continuously refine processes to improve the work environment and achieve operational excellence.
  • Assess complex technical issues, balancing economic and technical factors to make sound resolutions.Guide, develop, and motivate the maintenance team to grow talent and skills, while effectively managing internal and external stakeholders.
