Job Description

HEAD OF MANAGED SECURITY SERVICES (MSSP) - UK WIDE WITH TRAVEL

We are seeking a highly commercial Head of Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) to lead our dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing commercial aspects, leading teams, engaging with clients, and overseeing Security Operations Centres (SOCs), penetration testing, and the complete MSSP environment. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape.

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of the technological solutions - XDR/NDR/Dark web monitoring, SOAR, IR, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within an MSSP environment
  • Proven experience in managing commercials, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
  • Strong background in SOC operations and penetration testing
  • Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
  • In-depth knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and best practices
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skill

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial performance of the MSSP division, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients and vendors to ensure favourable terms
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of cybersecurity professionals, including SOC analysts, pen testers, and auditors
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team
  • Manage recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored security solutions to meet their business objectives
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery
  • Oversee the operation of multiple SOCs, ensuring they run efficiently and effectively
  • Ensure all penetration testing activities are conducted to the highest standards and deliver actionable insights
  • Continuously improve MSSP services, leveraging the latest technologies and best practices
  • Develop and implement the strategic vision for the MSSP division
  • Identify market trends and opportunities to enhance service offerings
  • Collaborate with other departments to align MSSP initiatives with overall company goals
