Description:
Your Role
In this role your main responsible will be to organize, structure and lead a team to define and own manufacturing processes for all product families belonging to the product group “Implants Industrialization”
Product Development
- Develop production process for mass production of new product with R&D, assuring compliant and effective production. Implement necessary validated tools, production equipment, measurement devices or software.
- Build strong collaboration with internal stakeholders such as R&D, production, QA, Life Cycle Management, Regulatory Affairs, etc.
Process Development
- Develop a manufacturing strategic roadmap to define how to meet future needs of the business. Continuously scout new manufacturing methods and incorporate into the roadmap.
- Drive standardization and harmonization of manufacturing process between sites for a given product family. Coordination of manufacturing technology & process engineering teams and activities.
Lifecycle management
- Plan and execute production capacity projects (defined by Operations strategy) of relevant product family. Optimize manufacturing process, manufacturing equipment and drive production performance improvement
- Allocate necessary resources to execute Life Cycle Management projects
Leadership
- Be a role model, develop, coach and trust employees, according to the ZEISS Leadership Principles. Cultivate and promote the ZEISS culture and values and develop and communicate a clear strategy, vision and purpose for own area of responsibility and ensure efficient structure and processes
- Attract and retain talent by coaching and develop team members to cover the whole range of skills in line with needs from manufacturing strategic roadmap.
Your Profile
- Degree in Engineering, such as Mechanics, Applied Mechanics, Physics, Material Science or similar studies
- Experience in the manufacturing of medical devices or other production of high quality standard environment
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Well-developed communication skills, high flexibility, strong personality
- Fluent English skills required and German is a plus
- Knowledge and proven implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
