Responsibilities:
- To guarantee success in this role, the ideal candidate must have an understanding of how to develop and execute strategic marketing plan and delivering hotel activations in different areas; food & beverage outlets, spa, rooms, suites, event spaces.
- The Head of Marketing is responsible for the planning, strategy and execution of all hotel public relations activity as well as social media. Management of the integration of digital, public relations and social media into the existing Sales & Marketing plan and enforcing all standard operating procedures for engagement.
- Be the first point of contact for all reactive PR, marketing, digital enquiries, evaluate the opportunity and respond accordingly.
- Showcasing the hotel to the brand - Marriott calls, platforms and newsletters as best practices and examples.
- Ownership of the Social Media platforms, ensuring consistency in standards, creativity and growth in line with business objectives.
- Running reports such as owners presentations, brand and team presentations. Ability to consistently understand the hotel performances, activities and present to the Executive team, Drivers and Associates.
- Compile a monthly social media report, using Sprinklr analytics to detail campaign successes, and circulate to Director of Sales and Marketing as required.
- Looking after influencers collaborations to increase our Instagram awareness and consistently work on our content strategy.
- Follow all hotel and company processes and procedures.
- Hosting media and brand photoshoots.
- Partner with Human resources to deliver an orientation and associate engagement program in keeping with the brand identify and supports our branded customer experience promise.
- Leads repositioning efforts if required in partnership with Area team, hotel executive team and operations
- Serves as the hotel(s) brand guardian / ambassador, verifying all marketing reflects brand voice. Leads the strategic pull-though of continent and brand promotions and campaigns.
- Partners with Revenue Management to develop and execute promotional strategy efforts.
- Runs, reviews, analyses and clearly articulates to stakeholder’s and owners the key marketing reports with the ability to quickly adapt and adjust strategy accordingly.
- Manages internal and external partners/agencies to verify deliverables are executed to support hotel strategy.
- Partners with Digital Field Marketing (DFM) to develop the annual digital marketing plan, and overarching partnership and marketing strategies to maximize hotel revenue production and align with hotel positioning.
- Manages the OTA Strategy in collaboration with Revenue Management through monthly market leader reviews and media investments.
- Monitors and provides recommendations for search engine optimization (SEO) and updates as needed in collaboration with DFM or agency.
- Owns the direct asset development (e.g. photoshoots) to verify up to date content for Sales & Marketing team to pull through to various sites and channel.
- Maintains frequent, active engagement with Area Directors of Marketing to communicate overall recommendations and actionable next steps based on identified findings, best practices, and overall digital trends for hotel.
- Identifies, develops, negotiates, manages and promotes marketing partnerships that will provide a substantial revenue return for total hotel or supports brand positioning.
- Partners with Public Relations partners/agencies to set overarching strategy for hotel, outlining goals, pitch angles and target segments.
- Manages Public Relations agency, if applicable, or manage PR messaging.
- Build relationships with key local partners to be involved in King’s Cross events and integrate the local culture within our hotel.
- Ensure local area Communication opportunities are capitalized and that maximum exposure is received
