THE ROLE

Spoiler Alert is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Head of Marketing to lead our overall Marketing strategy - with a particular focus on developing, executing, and optimizing a Demand Generation motion that delivers qualified leads, pipeline growth, and revenue.
As the market leader in helping CPG brands optimize their discounting strategies for excess and aging inventory, Spoiler Alert has a strong customer base of globally-recognized brands, a complex and financially-motivated value prop, and a real, impact-oriented mission. We are seeking a scrappy, entrepreneurial marketing professional that grew up in Demand Generation and will be passionate about accelerating market awareness of our solutions - which includes both a SaaS offering for enterprise CPG brands, as well as a new Marketplace offering for emerging brands.
In this role, you will report directly to the CEO, serve on the Senior Leadership Team, and be expected to shape our overall marketing and demand generation strategies. You will build and mentor a lean but impactful team that can execute multi-channel campaigns and effectively target our key markets and customer segments. The ideal candidate will have a visionary but scrappy approach for our go-to-market strategy and the agility to execute independently with speed and conviction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Head of Marketing, you will:

Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and oversee the marketing strategy and demand generation initiatives, being accountable for clear pipeline contribution and revenue targets
  • Drive our digital marketing strategy, including website optimization (inclusive of architecture and HubSpot integration), SEO/SEM, social media, and content
  • Lead our existing Product & Customer Marketing and BDR teams; with time, recruit and mentor a lean but mighty team of marketing professionals that embrace data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Establish KPIs and implement marketing analytics to track, measure, and report on the performance of marketing activities and budget allocation
  • Evaluate and implement a best-in-class marketing tech stack to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing and demand generation activities
  • Manage and advocate for an impactful but efficient marketing budget that drives direct, observable contributions to pipeline and customer growth
  • Leverage market research, customer insights, and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategies and adapt to market trends

Demand Generation

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive demand generation strategy - leveraging intent data to establish a lead scoring model for both Enterprise named accounts and Emerging/SMB brands
  • Oversee the creation, execution, and optimization of multi-channel marketing campaigns (with a particular focus on email marketing, SEO/SEM, webinars, ABM, and events) to drive awareness, engagement, and conversion of both our SaaS and Marketplace offerings
  • Coordinate outbound and inbound motions and messaging with BDRs and AEs, tech stack deployment and optimization, as well as CRM hygiene
  • Implement and manage lead nurturing programs to engage prospects and existing customers throughout the customer journey, from education and awareness through to advocacy
