JOB OVERVIEW

Due to the continued success of our GEMS Founders School Dubai, We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Head of Maths - Secondary to lead our passionate team of educators in our Mathematics department – January 2025.

We are looking for an outstanding, innovative leader to join the GEMS Founders Family. The successful candidate will play a key role in the Senior Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of Maths teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely intervention and support as needed.
• Collaborate with other department heads and school leadership to promote a cohesive educational experience.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Skills

Successful candidates will need to:

• Embody and role model our core values of Grow, Flourish & Succeed
• Hold a BEd or Bachelors degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent
• Have proven experience of teaching Maths to A Level.
• Have the ability to share exemplary teaching practices.
• A creative and enthusiastic approach, both inside and outside the classroom.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with colleagues, students and parents
• Have a proven track record of providing outstanding learning & teaching
• Have aspiration to work in a world-class school with real prospects for enhancing their career
• Be willing to make a positive contribution to our school community and culture through active engagement in our extra-curricular programme and community-based events.
