Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Media Sales to lead and grow our media sales team. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a media sales strategy that drives revenue growth through our core native digital offering, sponsored and creative content, and other media solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media sales, and a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, with automotive industry experience or understanding a bonus.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Sales Strategy and Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive media sales strategy that aligns with our wider growth goals and market positioning
  • Lead, manage, and inspire a team of media sales professionals, paving the way for their future development and growth
  • Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities within the automotive sector, expanding the client base and increasing market share

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and agencies
  • Understand clients’ marketing needs and develop tailored media solutions that deliver value and drive results
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations to optimise clients’ advertising strategies

Revenue Growth and Performance:

  • Drive media sales revenue by both securing new business and continuing to drive growth in existing accounts
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring the team meets or exceeds revenue goals
  • Collaborate directly with our finance and commercial leadership teams to forecast revenue and set realistic targets

Product and Market Development:

  • Collaborate with the product and marketing teams to develop and refine media products that meet market demand and client needs
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to ensure our media solutions remain competitive and innovative
  • Provide feedback to the product development team to improve existing products and identify opportunities for new offerings

Team Management and Development:

  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing media sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews to ensure team success
  • Encourage professional development and continuous learning within the team
