Responsibilities:
- You lead a team of tech sassy Internet of Things software and system engineers.
- You mentor the engineering team and set the technical direction for system programming, software architecture, security standards, devops, troubleshooting and debugging.
- You transform IoT requirements into scalable, secure and efficient backend solutions.
- Partnering with product experts, and operations, you transform requirements into a stable, great product.
- You optimize and automate consistently the software performance by spotting potential problems and suggest solutions.
- You also help your team handson with system engineering and AI tasks in Python, Bash, C/C++, Linux command line, GNU Make, GNU Compiler Collection, GNU Binutils, GNU Debugger, GNU Autotools, Networking Concepts and Security Concepts.
Your profile:
- You are an expert in the design, implementation, migration, deployment, observability, monitoring of a production system. Not only having developed a prototype.
- Minimum 4 years full-time work experience in R&D or product engineering.
- Minimum 2 years experience in technical leadership, mentoring, management.
- You understand the concepts of distributed systems in depth, working with Python, Bash scripting, Linux command line and C/C++ and are fluent in one coding language.
- Ability to guide the team in technical decisions regarding system architecture, routing, firewalling, with GNU tools, TCP, UDP, DNS, NAT.
- Fluent in English, any other spoken language is a plus.
