Description:

As SIXT Van & Truck continue to grow and expand our footprint in the UK, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of New Business Development to join our Sales Team. As a Head of New Business Development you will be directly responsible for leading and inspiring our team of regional New Business Managers (Hunters) to deliver superior results and excellence, and drive acquisition of major national accounts. We are looking for an experienced and inspirational sales leader who is commercially astute with strong sales and business acumen, leadership and managerial talents, strategic operating skills, and the ability to identify prospective deals and new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the sales funnel and the ability to develop, execute and communicate a sales plan that will achieve targets, as well as a superior understanding of the sales process and the ability to identify improvements. You are an excellent communicator and confident in defining strategies and budget plans and presenting these to senior stakeholders and business leadership. Through coaching and development, you are invested in improving the team’s skills levels and increase the conversion of sales leads to signed business.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead the team, driving results to achieve market penetration for our B2B rental proposition.
  • Drive revenue growth in line with company targets.
  • Successfully identify, engage, and close new business wins with major national businesses via direct sales and tenders
  • Provide an in-depth understanding of the sales funnel with the ability to track and measure opportunities throughout the entire new business sales cycle.
  • Develop annual sales plans and budgets
  • Provide accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting.
  • Track, report data, conduct analysis and specify new reporting where necessary.
  • Direct and monitor performance with a daily focus to ensure sales excellence across the team
  • Become an industry expert within the rental sector with a full understanding of the market landscape and competition.
  • Effectively coach/train to ensure continued development of sales techniques across the team.
  • Build a culture of sharing successes and learning, experiences, and knowledge with the rest of the team.
  • Work closely & collaborate with peers & stakeholders to ensure service excellence
  • Play an integral part of the smooth implementation process of new customers
