Wholesale Banking Coverage leading activities for a UAE based bank in markets outside of the UAE, such as Saudi Arabia, Bahrain & Egypt.
My client, a prestigious UAE based financial institution is seeking an exceptional professional to serve as Head of Non-Present Countries (NPC). This strategic leadership role is effectively the Head of Wholesale Coverage for all countries outside the UAE, focusing on Corporate and Institutional relationships across sectors.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Group Head of Wholesale Banking, the Head of NPC will develop and execute a comprehensive coverage strategy for corporate and institutional clients in all markets beyond the UAE.
The role centers on driving direct lending activities to leading corporates, with a strong focus on Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, and other key markets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coverage Leadership: Lead the bank’s corporate and institutional coverage strategy in non-present countries, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market opportunities.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with C-Suite and Board-level executives, delivering bespoke financial solutions and closing high-value transactions.
- Deal Origination and Structuring: Originate, structure, and negotiate complex club deals & bilateral transactions, with significant ticket sizes, ensuring robust credit risk management and long-term value for the bank.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the bank’s Chief Legal, Credit, and Risk Officers in the UAE to structure and approve transactions that align with the bank’s risk appetite and strategic priorities.
- Market Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of key markets, notably Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Egypt, to identify and capture opportunities across sectors.
- Risk and Credit Management: Conduct rigorous credit assessments and ensure that transactions are structured to meet the bank’s high standards for risk management and profitability.
- Teamwork and Execution: Collaborate with product specialists, credit teams, operations, and other internal stakeholders to deliver seamless client solutions and execute complex transactions effectively.
- Representation: Represent the bank in international markets, enhancing its profile and reputation as a trusted partner in institutional banking.
