We are looking for an experienced health and safety professional to join us as Head of Occupational Safety and Health, ensuring a positive, proactive approach to occupational health, safety and wellbeing across all of our activities.

Responsibilities:

  • To advise on all aspects of Health and Safety, ensuring legislative compliance.
  • Ensure a positive, proactive approach to occupational safety, health and wellbeing across all the activities of the RSC.
  • To act as the RSC appointed competent person for health and safety matters and to provide practical, informed health and safety advice.
  • To ensure that the RSC Occupational Health and Safety Management System Framework and Policies are reviewed regularly and kept up to date.
  • To manage the Occupational Safety and Health team.
  • To reduce harm by promotion of a positive, pro-active occupational health, safety and wellbeing culture within the RSC, and ensure that all members of staff are aware of and understand their health and safety responsibilities.
  • To analyse occupational health, safety and wellbeing data, recommending remedial actions or improvements, where necessary.
