WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- A minimum five years’ experience in a management position (Operations or Office Manager)
- Planning and project management skills
- Familiarity with core business functions, including HR, Finance and IT
- Experience in budget management
- A proactive, solutions driven, self-starting attitude with the ability to mitigate problems and be flexible when needed
- Awareness of areas of risk and compliance
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Confidence in undertaking negotiations with suppliers
- Pragmatism and an ability to deal with a volatile workload at times while remaining calm

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager. This exciting role requires a dynamic, proactive individual with an ability to multi-task and support senior stakeholders, while taking responsibility for overseeing projects, day-to-day operations and troubleshooting.
Proven experience of having previously worked as an Operations Manager successfully is essential. This is a visible and active office based role requiring excellent interpersonal, team leadership and supplier management skills. The successful candidate will positively contribute to the performance of the business by engendering a culture of continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Ownership and delivery of the operational and facilities management of our office in Camden
- Management and evaluation of external contractors tasked with undertaking standard Health & Safety checks, office maintenance, etc
- Review of the quarterly general office reporting pack to ensure the smooth running of the office continues
- Liaison with landlord’s agents about office related matters
- Pro-actively tender for competitive quotes ahead of service provider contract renewals in a timely manner, ensuring the most cost-effective and suitable solution is reached
- Management of booking system for meeting rooms and Zoom rooms
- Setting budgets for the Operations function, oversee departmental expenses to optimise cost management in line with the Operations Department budget
- Ensure items are submitted to or removed from our storage facility safely and securely
- Ensure security and keyholder details are kept up-to-date ?
- Implement and review all operational policies and procedures
- Responsible for the implementation of change management
- Work closely with our IT team, including onboarding and offboard of staff
- Maintain all registers and logs e.g. Health & Safety, Risk Assessment, Accident Logs, and provide feedback to the COO on identified risks
- Previous experience in managing office relocation, including contractor coordination, setting up new infrastructure accounts, liaising with the IT department in arranging for the relocation of on site servers etc., and overseeing / managing any necessary dilapidations work under the terms of the lease
- Develop, implement and review operational strategies and procedures
- Take full responsibility for managing our Reception team (currently one person) including their day-to-day line management, performance management and development, ensuring the Reception is operational at all times during office hours on weekdays (other than public holidays)
- Undertake an Operations related induction with all new starters
- Help reinforce Acamar’s company culture and further develop a work environment that encourages top performance and high morale amongst our team
