Description:
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
Experience in primary care is highly advantageous for this role, enabling you to hit the ground running. You should have a solid background in working within quality frameworks and applying them across multiple sites, so previous experience with the ICB and CQC would be beneficial. Additionally, a proven track record in successfully managing people and teams, along with experience in operational and logistical planning within primary care, is essential.
An understanding of the challenges facing primary care is preferable. It is crucial that you can demonstrate innovative and creative insights, articulate them effectively, and successfully deliver outcomes accordingly.
ABOUT US
The Colte Partnership is very much ‘at the heart of primary care’, being the largest GP Partnership in North East Essex; comprised of 8 local GP practices across Colchester and Tendring. We care for approx. 92,000 patients. Our Head Office is in Feering.
We pride ourselves on working to be at the forefront of primary care in our region, and have many exciting ventures on the horizon. Each of our branches has its own character, and family friendly ethos, which is why our patients love coming to us (and tell us so in our regular patient surveys).
However, being a large partnership means we can offer so much more than a local branch can by itself – with specialist clinics, social prescribing and innovative support such as regular dementia cafes and classes for our patients on first aid for children.
We strive to look after our employees as well, with generous annual leave, flexible and family friendly working, and support during difficult times such as free counselling.
Responsibilities:
Are you experienced in primary care management? Whether you’ve served as a practice manager or an operations manager, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to join our senior leadership team. As the head of operations and quality, you will oversee a team of operations managers, secretaries, a PCN manager, and administrators, ensuring they adhere to the quality standards set by the NHS and CQC.
The role is broad, encompassing both operational responsibility for business-as-usual workstreams and accountability for your own strategic portfolio.
The Colte Partnership provides primary care to around 92,000 patients across north-east Essex from 8 GP practices. While our dedicated branch teams continue to deliver excellent clinical care to our patients, our executive team, focus on our longer-term ambitious vision of the Partnership and creating a sustainable primary care service long into the future.
You will be working alongside our chief executive officer and executive colleagues to develop innovative and well-planned solutions, changing our operational delivery model to ease workload in our Branches and develop resilience through centralised workstreams.
An experienced professional with both operational and strategic level expertise, you will be a collaborative and inclusive leader, who will work across your functions and beyond to increase the overall performance of the organisation. You will be a rigorous, clear thinker who acts with integrity, personally promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion and who understands that our patients are at the heart of everything we do.
