Description:

HEAD OF OPERATIONS (COMPLIANCE)

Our client is a leading iGaming operator offering cutting-edge solutions tailored to the African market. Their platform delivers a seamless and engaging betting experience, combining local market expertise with innovative technology. They are now seeking a Head of Operations (Compliance) to oversee compliance frameworks, drive operational efficiency, and ensure adherence to international regulatory standards.
This role will be crucial in shaping the company’s operational compliance strategy, leading a team of Operations Managers, and implementing scalable processes to mitigate risks while supporting business growth.
Location: Fully remote role, with a preference for candidates located within GMT-1 to GMT+3.
Travel: Occasional international travel, up to 4-5 trips per year.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of experience in operational leadership roles within sectors such as Finance, Business Intelligence, or iGaming.
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, regulatory oversight, and operational best practices.
  • Experience leading teams within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Proven ability to design and optimise processes to enhance efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify operational gaps and implement solutions.
  • High proficiency in numerical analysis, document presentation, and reporting.
  • Proactive, strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to operational challenges.
  • French or Portuguese language skills will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

As Head of Operations (Compliance), your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance strategy that aligns with business objectives and international regulations.
  • Lead and support a team of Operations Managers to ensure compliance processes are executed effectively.
  • Design and maintain efficient, scalable compliance processes across various operational functions.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks, ensuring a proactive approach to regulatory challenges.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance policies, ensuring they reflect relevant international laws and industry regulations.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits to assess risks, enhance operational integrity, and ensure full legal compliance.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory developments, adapting compliance strategies as needed to address legislative changes.
  • Work closely with teams across risk, tax, AML, and product operations to embed compliance best practices into daily operations.
