Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Operations to join our leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will drive high-quality patient and customer experiences, provide strategic direction for our operations, and oversee business growth and service diversification. You’ll manage the performance of operational functions, lead and inspire teams, and ensure the delivery of safe and effective services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Set the framework for the delivery of safe and effective operational services at all sites, in partnership with the Superintendent Pharmacist
· Ensure that all Central Services are provided in the most efficient and effective way, making recommendations on delivery arrangements
· Ensure that governance and internal communications frameworks are implemented, adhered to and continuously improved
· As a member of the leadership team, contribute to the development of organisational strategy, including business development opportunities
· Lead on the development of business continuity arrangements, and play an active role in those areas that are the accountability of the operations function
· Contribute to the active management of the performance of the business through the monthly leadership team meetings, prioritising new initiatives based on available capacity, and ensuring strong levels of staff engagement
· Contribute content and visible leadership to the creation of the collateral for the internal communications framework
· Collate and quality assure business performance data for all operational areas, including the provision of narrative content, encouraging a data driven approach to decision-making
· Drive swift issue management and escalations affecting business performance, including on time close out of agreed actions
· Performance management of all direct reports, in accordance with framework
· Management of the operations function budget
· Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders
· Support internal training and development of new staff members
· Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures – fixed and temporary
· Create an environment where every member of the Operations function can participate in driving continuous improvement, innovation and organisational wide learning
· Demonstrate and promote the company’s values at all times
· Ensure compliance with all company policies
· Other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time
